Stony Brook PTO

Welcome to Stony Brook PTO's Website!

Welcome! We would like to welcome your family to the 2018-2019 school year! The PTO is open to all families at Stony Brook. It
is a wonderful way to participate in your child’s school events as well as to meet other families and students and staff at the school.

We are a group of fun and caring parents that are always looking for new people and ideas to help our school and community to grow! All of our families are busy, but please know that all contributions (small or big), volunteering at an event (or helping behind the scenes) can make a huge difference at Stony Brook.

If you would like to join us by helping with PTO committees, please use the link below to sign up. This is not a commitment; it is simply to let us know you are interested.  Just remember you must have your clearances to volunteer in the school.

CLEARANCES
Clearances are required for any adult to volunteer at the school.  Please know that any member of your family (grandparents, aunts, uncles, neighbors) would be a welcome addition to our volunteer family. Volunteer opportunities may be evening PTO events, classroom parties, field trips, Kidwriting in kindergarten, working with students on numbers, letters, reading fluency, math facts, and just even being a great listener while students read to you.

Information on clearances and how to obtain them can be found at the link below. Once you have been cleared and your paperwork has been submitted to the district, you will receive a pink volunteer badge good for the 2018-2019 school year. You will need this badge for any volunteer opportunities at the school. There is also information for volunteers that have already submitted their clearances, but need this year's badge.

PARENT INVOLVEMENT
At Stony Brook, we have many opportunities for families to get involved with fun events and activities like Field Day, Classroom Parties, Spring Fling, Memory Book, and plenty more! We rely heavily on our amazing volunteers to help make these activities possible for our students.
The link provided below is how we know parents are interested in helping. Marking that you are interested in any of the categories does not lock you into any commitments, it will just let us know to share information with you. Filling out this form is the best way to stay connected to what's happening inside the school.
